CHTS Workflow and Info Management Practice Exam 2026 – Comprehensive Prep Guide

A cognitive engineering approach uniquely concentrates on understanding how individuals interact with systems by examining cognitive processes such as attention, perception, memory, and decision-making. This focus is essential in designing systems that align with human cognitive abilities, ensuring that technology is intuitive and efficiently supports users in their tasks.

By emphasizing these cognitive factors, a cognitive engineering approach can enhance user experience and system performance. This is particularly important in healthcare technology, where the complexity of tasks and the critical nature of decision-making demand systems that cater to the cognitive load and capabilities of healthcare providers and patients. Thus, the design of such systems takes into account not only the functional requirements but also how people think, learn, and remember information, leading to more effective and user-friendly technologies.
